We, folengo.com (“Folengo”, “we”, “our”), care about protecting your personal data and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO). This Privacy Policy applies to the folengo.com website and the Folengo mobile applications for iOS and Android (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Data We Collect

• Name and email address during registration;
• data received when signing in through third-party services (Google, Apple) — email address and name; when using “Sign in with Apple” you may hide your email address, and we will only receive an anonymous relay address;
• learning settings and progress (learning and native language, selected materials, learning achievements);
• payment data — when using paid services (processed by payment providers; we do not store full payment details);
• technical data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system and application version, cookies;
• diagnostic data: when application failures occur, crash reports are automatically generated (device type, OS and application version, technical identifiers).

2. Purposes of Data Processing

• Providing the Service and managing your account;
• personalization of content and audio materials;
• analysis, stability assurance, and improvement of our services;
• processing payments and subscriptions;
• compliance with legal obligations.

3. Legal Basis

Data processing is carried out on the basis of:

• performance of a contract (provision of the Service);
• legal obligations;
• legitimate interests (for example, ensuring security, diagnostics, and improvement of the Service).

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted providers acting on our behalf and only to the extent necessary for the operation of the Service:

• Sentry — collection of crash reports and diagnostics (servers in the EU);
• Google and Apple — authentication when signing in through corresponding accounts;
• cloud storage provider — storage of media files and audio materials;
• hosting provider — hosting of the Service;
• payment providers — payment processing for paid services.

The Service is not intended for persons under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for deletion.

10. Security

We apply technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and encrypted password storage.

11. Changes to the Policy

We may periodically update this Policy. The current version is always available on this page; in the event of significant changes, we update the “last updated” date at the top.
